Life always comes with change. It’s inevitable. It doesn’t make it any easier though.
The counseling program has been a foundational program at Family Service since 1947. Countless individuals helped shape and mold it into the community cornerstone it is. Meg Pope is one of those people.
Meg Pope, our Counseling Director will be retiring at the end of May. Meg started with Family Service in 2004 as an intern. Meg embodies the Family Service spirit, as she is compassionate and dedicated in supporting those whom we work with. She is a role model for our Family Service team, and a pillar for our entire community. Words can’t express how much we will miss Meg!! Kevin Hayes will be stepping into this critical position. Kevin has been a counselor with Family Service since 2015 and we are fortunate to have him in this role! While it will be difficult to see Meg go, we are happy for her retirement as it is much deserved!
I also want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign. We are still expecting a few last minute donations but to date we have raised $9,300! These funds will go directly to helping strengthen children and families in Chester County.
Our vision for Family Service is BIG. We don’t want to help people get by, but rather want people to be strong, confident, and empowered to live a meaningful life. We want families to grow stronger, communicate better, and work together. We want EVERYONE to be who they are called to be. With your support, we are helping individuals and families do this! Thank you for helping to make this vision a reality.
