As we steadily approach the holiday season, one word comes to mind: gratitude. In these special times, we put aside times to give thanks for our many blessings. According to Harvard Health, “gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.”
This past month, our team members met at the home office for an informal gathering. This time was spent sharing program highlights and reflecting on all the work being done over the past year. The more people shared, the more folks started expressing gratitude for one another.
The more we reflect on our accomplishments, the more we realize we need each other. We can’t run programs by ourselves but we can together. We can’t raise enough funds by ourselves, but we can collectively.
I am grateful for our incredible team members who work together to change Chester County. Countless individuals and families are being forever impacted and changed by our work. May we continue to strive forward with confidence, passion, and most importantly, gratitude!
Stay safe,
